The Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI ) has announced procedures to deal with the current issues and concerns surrounding the coronavirus situation. Beginning Monday, March 23, all DOLI workers’ compensation mediations and conferences will be conducted remotely by telephone or videoconference only.

This is an effort to continue providing services within the workers’ compensation system while maintaining a safe environment for both the injured worker and DOLI employees. In my practice, this seems to be a reasonable and safe response to the coronavirus problem while still making sure that our clients’ rights and benefits are protected without any undue delay.

Mediations, medical and vocational rehabilitation conferences will continue while we all pull together to get through this difficult time. For additional updated information you can find the most recent news at www.dli.mn.gov/updates
