This is one of the most frequent questions I hear from clients or potential clients. While many cases do ultimately result in a settlement, this is not always the case. If a work injury is accepted by the insurer and all benefits paid until the employee returns to work at full wage, there may be no further benefits owing. Under those circumstances, there would not likely be a “settlement” because there would be no further claims.
